UG and PG Programmes

The College offers B.F.Sc., M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes in fishery science, i.e., BFSc, MFSc and Ph.D. degree programmes. Duration of the BFSc programme is 8 semesters (minimum 4 years) including 6 months In-plant training (20 credits) and 6 months Hands on Training (20 credits). The syllabus comprises of 176 credit hours. Details of the syllabus with specific courses of each of the 6 designated departments have been given at subhead 1.3.

The Masters programme in the College is presently offered by the Department of Aquaculture. Duration of the MFSc programme is 4 semesters (minimum 2 years). The syllabus comprises of 62 credit hours for each discipline. The credit hours allotted for PG research is 20.

The College offers Ph.D. in Aquaculture discipline. Duration of the Ph.D. course is 6 semesters (minimum 3 years) including research (45 credits) and thesis writing. The syllabus comprises of 82 credit hours.
