The BFSc and MFSc syllabus as such has no interdisciplinary courses. Adequately trained teachers in fishery science are capable of teaching courses specified in the syllabus.
However, due to paucity of teachers in the College, it is necessary to induct teachers from the College of Veterinary Science, AAU, Khanapara, Guwahati to teach a course on Software for Fisheries Data Analysis Management (FEM 504c). Similarly, scientists from the RARS, Shillongani have been inducted to teach (1) Research Methodology (FEM 503c); (2) Agricultural Research, Research Ethics and Rural Development Programmes (FEE 505b); (3) and Agricultural Research, Research Ethics and Rural Development Programmes (FEE 505). Some Guest Faculties are also recruited to meet up the scarcity of teachers in the college.
The teachers thus inducted from other disciplines also are involved in evaluating students’ performance in the respective courses.
