I am happy to learn that College of Fisheries, Raha is on the verge of opening its own website and thus the College is all set to move a step forward towards excellence in teaching, research and extension activities. After 3 decades of its existence, the College has made tremendous strides in the field of fisheries education and aquatic science. The 21st century has become the era of digital transformation, be it at our home, society, industries and educational institute. For any educational institute to flourish, it must have effective user-firendly digital platforms in terms of website through which the institution can share and disseminate its information profile with rest of the world to complete globally with other institutions. The art of creating a digital based information profile in website is a challenging venture. Utmost care should be taken to focus only the salient points pertaining to the institution which are easy to be explored by user groups. I am confident that with the support of quality human resources in the College, the website will definitely be a magnificent and applaudable one. The primary motto of any educational institute are up scaling the existing education system to its next higher level and to achieve this, the institute is of the need of effective website to facilitating the favourable academic ambience and boosting the student’s career prospects and earning potential. I wish the College will get more exposure through its website with bunches of information of its activities and achievments in the lengh and breadth of the globe. The educaitonal landscape is fast changing globally and to cope with the pace of the changing scenario, quality education for all needs to be ensured. I am quite optimistic on the concerted efforts and commitment of the faculty, staff and students who are dedicated to attain its excellence in teaching, research and extension.
